Virginia Vasileva

Early Childhood Development Consultant

Specialties: On maternity leave Early Childhood Development Consultant Psychologist Trainer

Virginia joined the Karin Dom team in 2012. For two years, she led group therapy for children in a Montessori environment. Since 2013, she has been leading playgroups for babies and children up to three years old. In 2014, Virginia participated in an exchange of experience at Spring Common Academy, Huntingdon, United Kingdom, where she became acquainted with leading international practices in working with children with autism and hyperactivity. In the autumn of the same year, she formed a group for children with autism spectrum disorders based on the “Little +” model-a family-mediated therapeutic approach where the leading role is played by the parents and significant adults in the child’s life. Her work is supervised by specialists from Oregon, USA.

As a psychologist at Karin Dom, Virginia conducts group and individual therapy with children facing various difficulties, applying a family-oriented and family-mediated approach. She believes that successful therapy unites the child’s entire microsystem-family, kindergarten, and therapists. Virginia is a certified ABA and PECS therapist. In 2017, she obtained a European certificate in psychotherapy. She enjoys her role as a trainer because she loves to analyse and share her experience; meetings with specialists from Bulgaria and abroad inspire her towards new professional challenges.
