Veronika Valcheva

Early Intervention Team Manager

Specialties: Early Intervention Early Childhood Development Social Worker

Veronika Valcheva is a social worker, early childhood development consultant, and manager of the Early Intervention team. She joined the Karin Dom team in 2010 and, since 2019, has been a part of the Early Intervention team. Veronika serves as the primary link between families and consultants-she is the first to contact parents, assess the individual needs of children and their families, and applies a family-oriented approach in her work. She provides early support and intervention in the child’s natural environment, working with and through the family. She works as part of a multidisciplinary team to strengthen the potential and resources of parents, stimulate the child’s development, and support their inclusion in the social life of the community.

She assists families in addressing social, legal, and socio-economic issues, and maintains contacts with partner organisations and institutions such as Varna Municipality, the Child Protection Department, Mother and Baby Unit, maternity wards, medical specialists, educational institutions, the Bulgarian Red Cross, and others. Veronika participates in working meetings with representatives of state and local institutions to influence policies for children and families.

Not least, as someone who loves and values nature, Veronika, together with other Karin Dom specialists, actively works to foster a love of nature in the youngest, raise awareness, and promote civic consciousness-participating in projects and initiating campaigns for environmental protection.
