Director “Services for Children and Families”

Bistra has been working at Karin Dom since September 1, 2010. She started as an assistant educator in a therapeutic group in a Montessori environment, after one year moved to the position of social activities associate, and since 2013 has been a social worker and manager of “Social and Administrative Activities.” Between 2012 and 2016, she conducted art sessions with therapeutic purposes for children with special needs. She joined the Karin Dom training team as a trainer. Since 2018, she has held the position of Administrative Director at Karin Dom.

Interests:

  • Implementing family-oriented practices in social work with children and their relatives.
  • Advocating for changing public attitudes towards children with special needs and actively participating in the creation and modification of municipal and state policies related to improving the quality of life for children.
  • Using creative therapies in work with children and adults.

Education:

  • Art High School
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics
  • Master’s degree in Social Pedagogy, specialization “Management and Organization of Social-Pedagogical Activities”
