Family-mediated groups for children aged 2 to 6 years
Why is Family-Mediated Intervention (FMI) a successful therapeutic model?
This approach contributes to achieving therapeutic goals and creates sustainable change in the lives of families.
My son and I attend the ‘Sun’ group. The parent training is extremely useful and provides strong mutual support for us, parents of children with disabilities.
In one year, Valeria has made significant progress in motor skills, concentration, and social interaction. We are grateful for the opportunity for parents to participate actively in the learning process.
The group is invaluable for parent education. With the help of the specialists, we feel supported and more confident in dealing with challenges.

Supporting children with communication difficulties
The group includes children aged 2 to 3 years, together with their parents and caregivers, and meets every Monday and Wednesday. Direct work with the children and parents lasts 1.5 hours. The group work with parents aims to develop skills for better child-parent interaction. This will enable caregivers to follow the goals they have set to support their child’s development in areas such as functional communication, adaptive skills, managing unacceptable, oppositional, and stereotypical behavior, stimulating eye and emotional contact, memory, thinking, imagination. Additionally, the group activity will build skills for emotional-social interaction with peers and adults.
