Main highlights:
In this program, we will look at the possibilities for teachers, specialists and parents to prepare a “Support Plan” together and to follow the path and actions that need to be taken together in the inclusion process. The support plan supports the child with special needs, but also acts as a support for all those who work and/or care for the child.
A brief overview of the interactions in PDST (Personal Development Support Team), as well as the vertical and horizontal level of communication is given. Through real case studies, the roles of PDST members are examined. The participants are given the opportunity to share experienced situations. Possible conflict and challenging situations are considered. Particular attention is paid to parents, their role and interaction in the preparation of the support plan. It emphasizes the advantages of the social over the expert model of interaction.
Special attention is paid to the planning, preparation and holding of meetings with parents. Interaction with other services in the community is key to achieving lasting success and achieving therapeutic and educational goals. Emphasis is placed on using the SMART rule when setting goals and objectives in the support plan. The features of working in an interdisciplinary team and cross-sector cooperation are considered.
The program is also in line with the new requirements under the Social Services Act and the Regulations to it, as well as with the Ordinance on the Quality of Social Services.
