The project started in July 2018, providing 20 children with special needs and their parents, members of the extended family and guardians to receive support through group sessions, trainings, psychological and social support.
Karin Dom’s director, Maya Doneva, opened the meeting and shared her hopes and plans for the sustainability of this innovative service, so much needed for the community. At the meeting, Evgenia Angelova – psychologist and leader of a family group for family-mediated intervention in children from the autistic spectrum and Teodora Lutskanova – kinesitherapist and leader of a group for children with complex and intensive support needs, presented the results achieved in working with children and families. The meeting was also attended by parents who said they were satisfied with the results and wanted the work with the children to continue.
