Invitation to participate in a final meeting of the project “Center for family-mediated intervention” of Karin Dom

The team of the Center for Family-Mediated intervention at Karin Dom Foundation invites you to a final meeting on the project, which will take place on December 12, 2018, at 10.00 am in the seminar hall of Karin Dom, 3d floor.

The project “Center for Family-Mediated Intervention” is realized with the financial support of the Social Protection Fund, thanks to which an innovative service for children with special needs and their parents for Bulgaria was launched, aimed at building the family as a leading factor in the therapy and development of the child. The project started in July 2018, providing 20 children with special needs and their parents, members of the extended family and guardians to receive support through group sessions, trainings, psychological and social support.

At the meeting, the team of the Center for Family-Mediated Intervention Center will tell you about the achieved results and the sustainability plans of such an innovative service that is so necessary for the community.

The method is based on the successful experience of specialists at the University of Oregon, USA. It has been applied for five years in Europe and for the first time in Bulgaria.

The project is unique in the country and is funded by the Social Protection Fund of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy. You can learn about the project from here.
