Introducing Karin Dom’s Digital Library! The New Information Place for Specialists and Parents!

On the National day of the Revivalists, we are very happy to present you a project of Karin Dom, through which we want to reach more specialists and parents. The library is our answer to the questions of parents and specialists about early childhood development topics. Through selected video trainings, we will strive to be even more active participants in inclusive education processes in our country and to share 25 years of experience and accumulated knowledge in an accessible and understandable way.

Proceeds from the Library are also a tool to support the cause of Karin Dom, so that we can continue to be near all of you.

It is with great excitement that we invite you to join the online library of Karin Dom, which today opens its “window” to children’s development. In the library: http://library.karindom.org, you will find video training modules for professionals and parents related to early childhood development, inclusive education and innovative practices to stimulate the development of the young child.

We have collected in one place current trainings, manuals and additional materials of Karin Dom for parents and specialists. The basis of all shared materials is the accumulated experience of the multidisciplinary team of Karin Dom, an organization with over 25 years of practice in the field of therapy for children with special needs.

The Digital Library is an initiative that reflects Karin Dom’s desire to reach out and provide support to parents and specialists on issues and topics related to:

• Early childhood development
• Innovative practices and models to stimulate child development and support the child and the family
• Inclusive practices

Karin Dom’s training team continues to enrich the content of the library and add new resources: videos, as well as free guides and other publications of Karin Dom.

About the Karin Dom Foundation:

The Karin Dom Foundation is a non-governmental organization that, since 1996, started its work as a Center for Social Rehabilitation and Integration of children with special needs. The mission of Karin Dom is to support the inclusion of children with special needs and their families, through professional services, support and raising the level of public awareness. Karin Dom’s team of specialists annually supports over 300 children and families from Varna and the country, and for its 25-year history, over 2,800 children have used services at the center. The main activities are therapy and rehabilitation, early intervention and integration, training of parents and specialists, advocacy and stimulation of volunteering.

At the beginning of the year, Karin Dom started its long-term project – construction of a new building for a therapeutic and training center. The organization’s plans are for the construction to be finalized and the activity completely moved next year. Karin Dom has ambitious plans to create an extremely functional space for qualified therapy of children with special needs and a modern training center supporting specialists.

The building will combine a variety of functions: physiotherapy and hydrotherapy, an early intervention center, a Montessori center and a children’s demonstration kitchen, diagnostic rooms, individual and group therapy, a sensory hall, a medical center, training rooms, an administrative area, an inner courtyard with two playgrounds.
