Participate in the “My Message Matters – I Can Be the Change!” Youth Project

Purpose of the project

Our main goal is to engage young people aged 15 to 29 in diverse, meaningful and interesting volunteering activities and initiatives, engaging in various creative product creation workshops and engaging in the topic of social entrepreneurship.

Specific goals of our project idea

• Stimulating the activity of young people and making sense of their free time
• Raising awareness on the subject of volunteering as a supreme value and right – benefits, opportunities and results
• Expansion of the volunteer community and formation of adequate self-esteem among young volunteers
• Increasing the sensitivity of young people to the needs of society and increasing their social commitment
• Emphasis on the topic of social entrepreneurship, which is a wonderful opportunity for youth entrepreneurship and developing partnerships, as long as they have the necessary knowledge and guidance – an outstanding tool for a sustainable social economy and responsible society.
• Increasing sensitivity to environmental issues and how volunteers could have impact through various activities.
• Providing valuable resources to support their personal growth and development
• Acquisition of valuable knowledge and skills for the functioning of a non-governmental organization and why the role of Civil Organizations in our country is important;
• Increasing their commitment and initiative in the direction of environmentally friendly thinking
• Promotion of creative and innovative thinking and activity;
• Acquisition of decision-making skills, teamwork, adaptability, social skills, skills for lifelong learning;
• Reduction of youth unemployment % by acquiring various new skills.

The activities we will implement are focused on Youth Entrepreneurship through the prism of social causes

• Visits to social enterprises and product making workshops. We will organize visits to various social enterprises in Varna, and with some of them, where possible, we will hold joint workshops for making products.
• Creative workshops for making products. We will organize several workshops to make products that we have experience in. We will actively include in them parents of children with special needs who visit Karin Dom for therapy, who are part of Karin Dom’s social enterprise and make wonderful products with a cause. If possible, we will present the manufactured products at a bazaar.
