Free Consultations for Children with Down Syndrome Aged 0-3 yrs and Their Families

Dear parents,

On the occasion of March 21, the International Day of People with Down Syndrome, we are starting registrations for free one-time consultations for children with Down Syndrome aged 0-3 years and for their parents. Counseling aims to support children’s development and support parents.

• Consultations for children are conducted by early childhood development specialists of Karin Dom: rehabilitator, occupational therapist, speech therapist, psychologist, social worker, breastfeeding specialist.
• Consultations for parents are conducted by a psychologist experienced in working with families with children with special needs. Virginia Vasileva is a psychologist/psychotherapist who moderates parenting groups for mutual help and support, as well as individual consultations for parents in Karin Dom with the aim of reducing the anxiety and tension of the parent regarding the condition of the child.

Registration is open until March 31, 2024 or until seats are filled. Consultations will be held within up to 2 months after the end of registrations.

Karin Dom’s initiative takes place on the occasion of the International Day of People with Down Syndrome, which we celebrate every year on March 21.

The consultations were implemented under the project “Full and complex early support for children with special needs and their families to improve their well-being and reduce the risk of social exclusion” of Karin Dom, financed by the Program “Human Resources Development”.
