This webinar introduces us to Person-Aware Language. It answers the tough questions:
- How to talk about children with special needs without using diagnoses?
- How to present children with developmental challenges to other children?
- How to explain difficulties so as to preserve the dignity of children?
- How to talk about disability so as to promote acceptance?
There are words acting as arrows and words acting as a balm. Every moment we choose which ones to use. This choice has lasting consequences on the psycho-emotional well-being of children.
Our specialists Virginia Vasileva – psychologist and psychotherapist and Nicoleta Yoncheva – doctor of speech therapy address these and other questions.
The webinar is suitable for teachers, parents and professionals, as well as anyone concerned with the welfare of children. The purpose of the event is to support the processes of changing the attitudes not only of the specialists, but also of the general public.
