Karin Dom provides intensive weekly therapy for children with special needs from Ukraine. The therapy is 5 days long and developed in accordance with the needs of the child and the family. It includes examination, intensive therapy and work with the family.
Depending on each individual case, different specialists are included – physiotherapist, psychologist, speech therapist and social worker. The therapy itself may include individual work with a rehabilitator, speech therapist, trampoline therapy, sensory activities, toy library, health care, as well as work with families – consultations with a social worker and/or psychologist and parent groups for mutual support and support/motivational training.
The main advantage and benefits of this intensive program is that the therapy takes place in front of the parents and with their participation – a family-oriented approach is applied. Therapy helps children develop motor, communication and cognitive skills, as well as self-care skills and social and emotional development.
