Free Consultations at Karin Dom for Premature or Low Birth Weight Children up to 2 years of Age

Dear parents,

Karin Dom’s Early Intervention team will conduct free consultations for premature or low birth weight children up to 2 years of age. Karin Dom’s initiative is being held on the World Day of Premature Children and aims at prevention and early diagnosis in the conditions of an epidemiological situation.

To join the free consultations, you need to fill out the form and we will contact you for further details. The consultations were financed by the Karin Dom project from the Medicor Foundation, Liechtenstein.

Registrations will be held until November 30, 2021. or until the places are filled – 10 families. The consultations will be held until the end of the year, in Karin’s home or online, according to the wishes and possibilities of the parents. The specialists who will be involved in the consultations are: rehabilitator, speech therapist, psychologist, social worker, occupational therapist, breastfeeding specialist.

Karin Dom supports the youngest children from 0 to 3 years old through the Early Intervention service, which was launched in 2010. By the end of 2020. our specialists covered a total of 986 children. Criteria for including a child in the “Early Intervention” program of Karin Dom are:

Age of the child: 0-3 years;

The child is at risk of being stunted, premature or of low birth weight;

Laggard of the child in any of the areas of development – cognitive, motor, speech, social, emotional.

For a child to be included in the program, it is not necessary to have a diagnosis or referral from a doctor.

We work with an average of 65 families per month, 40 of which are financed by the Municipality of Varna under a municipal delegated activity. OMV Bulgaria and the Medicor Foundation are Karin Dom’s partners in the program.
