VIRGINIA VASILEVA, psychologist and trainer at Karin Dom.

As a psychologist at Karin Dom, Verzhi conducts group and individual therapy with children with various difficulties, applying a family-oriented approach, works with children on the autistic spectrum and their families, consults parents of children with autism. Actively participates in projects aimed at inclusive education and the inclusion of children with special needs in general education nurseries and kindergartens.

Vergie is a certified ABA and PECS therapist. In 2017 acquires a European certificate in psychotherapy. She feels good in the role of a trainer because she likes to analyze and pass on her experience, meetings with specialists from the country and abroad inspire her for new professional challenges. Verzhi conducts trainings for parents and specialists on topics related to the challenges faced by families with children with special needs, the education and upbringing of the young child, adaptation in a children’s environment, unacceptable behavior, etc.

NIKOLETA YONCHEVA, speech therapist and trainer at Karin Dom,
doctoral student in “Speech Therapy” at the University of St. Kliment Ohridski” – Sofia.

Nikoleta has been part of the Karin Dom Foundation team since 2013, conducting individual and group sessions. He works with the “Malki+” group at the “Early Intervention” center of Karin Dom, intended for children from 0 to 3 years old. with a risk of developmental delay, atypical behavior, social and emotional difficulties. Nikki has competences in working with children with communication disorders, actively working not only with the child, but also with the whole family. In her practice at Karin Dom, she is a mediator between the child and the family, guiding the process of understanding and communication with the young child, showing coping techniques in everyday life and developing the child’s skills. Her professional interests are in the areas of communication, sign language, early childhood development, and family-mediated intervention. Nikoleta is a certified ABA and PECS therapist. He feels good in the role of a trainer, because he likes to share what he has learned and to inspire for the new.
