Karin dom shares its experience with colleagues from Bulgaria and abroad

In the April-July period over a hundred professionals and parents attended trainings held by Karin Dom. Over the last couple of months Karin dom’s training team has conducted nearly thirty internal and external trainings and supervisions for specialist from various organizations and centers providing alternative social services in Varna, Provadia, Targovishte, Veliko Tarnovo, , Svishtov, Lovech, Plovidiv. A lot of the trainings were aimed at the parents who are frequently becoming key participants and partners in the process of providing services matching the individual needs of the child. 

The trainings covered topics like “Communication with children with special needs”, “Specific aspects and features of the most common diseases and conditions in early childhood”, “Working with children with sensory deficits in the kindergarten setting” and many others. 

On July 16, an international group of speech therapists visited Karin Dom. A total of forty experts from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Romania and Bulgaria became acquainted with the activities at the Center, with the therapeutic methods and approaches we use in our work with children with special needs.

The visiting experts learned about the Early Intervention Program and after the presentations had the opportunity to discuss and share their ideas and experiences with colleagues from the therapeutic team of Karin Dom. At the end of the visit, the guests expressed their desire for future partnership.
