With great sorrow we inform you that Mr. Stancioff passed away this morning!
May he rest in peace!
His work and love for children will remain and continue through Karin Dom and the vast community of followers and ambassadors of goodness that he left behind!
Dear friends,
our team will organize a mass for Ivan Stancioff in Varna on November 29 at 10:00 am in the Catholic Church. Father Jacek will serve the Holy Liturgy and we all will pray for the soul of Ivan Stancioff. All friends, partners, supporters are invited.
A great Bulgarian has left us, a man with a big heart and strong faith in the good! Ivan Stancioff (Johnny) left us – a philanthropist, traveler, dreamer and eternal optimist, for whom there were no impossible things. He dedicated himself to the cause of children with special needs and inspired many followers to dream with him of a brighter and better world for children. Love and kindness that infects, a person who gives and will always live in our hearts and the hearts of people whose lives have changed forever.
Born on April 1, 1929, Ivan Stancioff throughout his life was engaged in charity work and never stopped thinking about Bulgaria. In 1996, he founded Karin Dom – the first center for therapy and support of families with children with special needs with the great desire to change for children in Bulgaria. He worked tirelessly to reduce the abandonment of children with special needs in homes, as was the practice then in our country. His biggest dream was for every child to have a chance at education and to be raised with love. At his invitation, specialists from abroad come to Karin Dom to train the team in modern methods of therapy. He is the recipient of extremely prestigious awards and distinctions. In 2018, Ivan Stancioff, was awarded the “Heart of Bulgaria” award, for his outstanding donation activity and for his enormous contribution to the creation of Karin Dom.
Our team expresses its condolences to the family and relatives of Mr. Stancioff! A sad day for all of us, for whom Ivan Stancioff is an example, support and belief that there are no impossible things.
