Тhe Golden Rose Bulgarian Film Festival supported the therapy of children visiting Karin Dom

For a third consecutive year, the Golden Rose Bulgarian Feature Film Festival supported the therapy of children visiting Karin Dom. After last year’s campaign for the purchase of musical instruments, now in 2016, the festival supports art therapy classes for children as part of the therapeutic process. Therapeutic art techniques have proven to be effective and stimulate creativity, concentration, fine motor skills, communication, as well as bring aesthetic pleasure and satisfaction that motivates children to try again. Art therapy also helps children to participate more easily in activities in mainstream kindergartens and schools.

With the 950BGN gathered through the sale of the poster and catalog for the “Golden Rose” festival, Karin Dom will purchase materials for the development of children’s creativity and learning – watercolors, oil and tempera paints, sketchbooks, brushes and spatulas, glass paints, coloring books and so on.

We thank the organizers and all the guests of the festival “Golden Rose”, who besides supporting the Bulgarian cinema, supported the efforts of Karin Dom to provide quality art therapy to children with special needs.
