Let’s Play! The Toy Library at Karin Dom is Once Again Available to Children and Parents

Dear Parents,

We invite you to play with your child in the new Toy Library at Karin Dom!

Play is not just for kids! Play is the way a young child learns and perceives the world, learns language, communicates with children and adults, and builds himself/herself as a future person. And parents are the most important part of play for their children. A toy library can help parents choose toys and give play suggestions, supporting their child’s unique abilities.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Toy Library in the new Karin Dom complex. We invite everyone who wants to play.

The toy library at Karin Dom features more than 160 toys,

that are designed for the development of children ages 0-3, 3-5, and 5-7. The toys in the library are selected based on high standards of safety as well as their contributions in five distinct areas: cognitive, orientation, social & emotional, and communication. Each toy in the toy library has a reference card that offers information and suggestions for play.

Why is play so important and how can we play to support a young child’s development? These questions and many more will be answered by our specialist on Mondays and Fridays.

The Toy Library is open and free to all children and parents with the following hours:

Mondays 15:00-17:30 (from 15:30 to 16:30 a speech therapist from Karin Dom will be present)

Wednesday 15:00-17:30

Thursday 9:00-17:30

Friday 9:00-17:30 (from 10:00 to 11:00 a speech therapist from Karin Dom will be present)
