Karin Dom is a leading organization with 28 years of experience in the field of therapeutic and social services aimed at children with special needs and their families. Our mission is the wholesome development and growth of children with special needs within their families and their successful inclusion as well as to promote tolerance in society as a whole. We provide training for specialists from the health, education and social sectors, while actively participating in the formation of children’s policies in the country.
2 years ago, the organization opened a new, modern and unique for the country and the Balkans children’s center for early intervention and comprehensive support which offers integrated health, social and educational services in one place for children and their families. Over the last 3 years, Karin Dom registered a serious growth in all its activities, including the introduction of new services. In the last 2 years, the organization managed to increase by more than 50% the number of children and families receiving support, thanks to the financing from the Municipality of Varna, national and international projects (over 10), corporate and individual donations, as well as through the product support of our social enterprise.
Today, in the process of establishing our innovative model of support and work, the organization is looking for a purposeful, dynamic and committed professional to take over the management in the role of the EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR.
The Executive Director will be responsible for planning, managing and coordinating the operational activities of the Karin Dom Foundation and its team, as well as supporting the Management Board in the development and implementation of our strategic organizational strategy. We are looking for a leader who shares our mission, vision and values and represents the organization to our professional network of contacts, potential partners, and donor organizations.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
● Cooperation with the Management Board and the operational team to achieve the organizational mission and development strategy;
● Planning, management, coordination and control of daily activities, in accordance with legislation and internal standards;
● Management of funds, fundraising, investments and reporting of funds raised;
● Budgeting and financial management of financial flows;
● Motivating and managing the team;
● Representation of the organization in public councils, working groups in the institutions, at public events, conferences, meetings with the media and other forums to increase the visibility and support for the mission and activities of the Foundation;
● Development and maintenance of strategic partnerships with key stakeholders such as government institutions, other NGOs, local communities and the business sector;
● Maintaining high standards of ethics and data management to ensure the security and confidentiality of information relating to children and their families;
● Continuous training and development of staff to ensure a highly qualified team capable of meeting the needs and challenges in the field of children’s therapeutic and social services.
Requirements:
● Experience in managing organizational and administrative processes and teams;
● Higher education in the field of management or humanities;
● Experience in partnership development, fundraising and advocacy;
● Excellent leadership and communication skills;
● Ability to work in a dynamic and multicultural environment;
● Experience in managing project-based organizations;
● Experience in material base management;
● Problem-solving and decision-making skills in conditions of limited resources and time pressure;
● Excellent administrative and digital skills, including English.
