Our children celebrated the International Earth Day!

Today is April 22nd and we are celebrating the International Earth Day!

The slogan of our celebrations this year is “With love for the flowers.” Together with the children who visit Karin Dom for therapy, we planted flowers in the yard of Karin Dom to make our garden more beautiful and colorful. Later today we will visit our friends from kindergarten №14 “Druzhba” to celebrate together!

The Earth Day was first proclaimed in 1970 in the US and Canada, and since since 1990 it is celbrated internationally. Here in Bulgaria we celebrate this day since 1993 when people started uniting around the idea to protect the environment.

Earth Day is the largest secular holiday in the world celebrated by over half a billion people. Each year the Earth Day Network coordinates the actions of more than 12,000 partners in 174 countries aimed at protecting the Earth and preserving the life on it. The network strives to create broad public support for sustainable and effective environmental policies for development around the world.
