“Karin Dom” Foundation is helping the revival of a practice that has been a little forgotten.
Between 15-17 December, 2014, 17 patronage nurses and midwives received training at the Centre for Maternal and Child Health, in Sliven. The Centre is a UNICEF project, created to support families with little children and pregnant women through information on health and preventive health behaviors. The focus of the training was on home visits for little children in accordance with the family-centered approach that Karin Dom has been practicing successfully for years.
One of the nurses who took part in the training shared with us: “The training was interesting and fulfilling, presented in a different way. I feel enriched!”
