Contact a Parent – consecutive group meeting

On July 10th the “Contact a Parent” group (part of Karin dom’s Early Intervention Programme) held their consecutive meeting.

This meeting aimed to inform the parents participating in the group of two of the most common conditions in childhood – Cerebral Palsy and Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The parents recieved important information about the specifics of those two conditions from three specialists from Karin Dom – Zhenislava Sapundjieva (social psychologist), Stefka Tsvetanova (clinical psychologist) and Andreas Andreou (physiotherapist). Teodora Ferdinandova (social worker) together with the parents went through the “Boundaries and ethics” of the “Contact a Parent” group.

At the end of the meeting the participants received various briefing materials for the conditions and shared that they feel more confident and better prepared to share their knowledge and experiences with other parents.
