On February 18 and 19, in Dublin, Veselina Vassileva (Development Director), represented Karin Dom at a meeting with representatives of the European Commission and ministries of 10 European countries and organizations. The topic discussed was “Prevention and Early Intervention Services for Children Living in Poverty”. Along with Mrs. Asya Ilieva – from Social Inclusion Directorate at the Bulgarian Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, they presented the experience of Bulgaria, the practice of Karin Dom in early intervention and the trainings that we led in 47 Early Intervention Centers in the country.
The meeting focused on different models and the importance of services offered at the homes of children between 0 and 3 years. The emphasis was on practices that proved useful.
“I am satisfied with the meeting and shared experience. I am glad that at Karin Dom, we share the same messages that were derived at the meeting. The assessment report that we have prepared on the Early Intervention program follows the tendencies in Europe – quality of services to be proven by assessment and analysis”, says Vesy Vassileva.
