Karin Dom started training sessions in Early intervention throughout Bulgaria

On May 8th, Karin Dom held the first introductory training sessions at the Early Intervention Centers that have been created by the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy as part of the “Social Inclusion Project”, financed with a loan from the World Bank

The centers will help the development of the youngest children, age 0-3 years, who have delays, disability or are in risk of developing such. Early Intervention Centers will be opened in 46 municipalities, for Varna district that includes the municipalities of Varna, Valchi Dol, Stefanovo, Dobrich and Samuil.

According to the contract with the Ministry, during the next 3 months, Karin Dom will hold introductory and advanced training sessions for the Early Intervention teams of the 46 municipalities. The topics include general structure and organizing the service, principles of the family-centered approach, norms and markers for pathology during childhood, therapeutic interventions, developing skills for partnership with the parents.
