Training invitation: Important Accents in working with children with multiple disabilities. Modern approaches

Dear colleagues,

We have the pleasure to invite you to a training, held by Karin Dom, on the subject of:

„Important Accents in Working with Children with Multiple Disabilities. Modern Approaches“

The training will take place on February 6th and 7th 2017 (for Special schools) and on February 9th and 10th (for all else who wish to participate) at Karin Dom, Varna. Detailed schedule will be announced shortly.

The training on February 6th and 7th 2017 is for teachers from Special schools as well as for professionals – physiotherapists, speech therapists, psychologists who are working in Special schools.

The training on February 9th and 10th 2017 is for therapists – physiotherapists, speech therapists, psychologists, medical staff (nurses, doctors), personal or social assistants.

Entry requirements

• Motivation for studying
• To feel involved or to be interested in supporting children and youths with multiple disabilities (complex and intense support needs – CISN)
• To be able to apply and practice what they have learned during the training

It is necessary for each participant (school, organization) to present written or video case from their work with a child with multiple disabilities.

The training is part of project Enablin+

The ENABLIN+ project is an international partnership of 8 organizations under the Erasmus+ with the European Union. It’s been realized in Bulgaria, Belgium, Romania, Italy, Portugal, France, the Netherlands, and is being led by the University of Antwerp, Belgium. The project is aimed at the needs of children and youths with complex and intense support needs (CISN), the people who are taking care of them and those who support them. The project has the goal of creating a system for interdisciplinary training at the work place, where specialists and parents from different professions, study together in order to improve inclusion, encouraging the deinstitutionalizing and to improve the quality of life of the children with CISN in different age groups.

Training fee: The training is free

During the training there will be coffee breaks and lunch for the participants.

Duration of the training:

Day one: Beginning – 10:00-16:30; Day two: 09:00-16:30

Important: Send your case on zatanasova@karindom.org in 10 working days from registration, but no later than January 31st 2017.

Registration deadline: The spots for the training are limited. Registration will be closed on January 31st 2017 or earlier if the all the spots are full.
