Karin Dom introduces and implements innovative and effective models of work with children with special needs in Bulgaria. The training centre provides training for specialists in this field, teachers, students and parents.
The growing number of children diagnosed with autistic spectrum disorder, as well as the challenges and specific circumstances of working with children with special needs, require from the trainers in this field to upgrade their skills and acquire new competencies.
The project’s objective is to raise the quality of professional education through acquiring effective models of work with children with autistic spectrum disorder and other children with special needs, and enriching the training experience of Karin Dom’s trainers.
One of the results from the project will be the acquired knowledge and the raised skills of 6 trainers who will share their experience with other specialists working with children with special needs from Karin Dom. Another key result will be the development of a partnership with a leading organization from the UK, providing training and supporting children with special needs.
The mobilities will take place in the partner organization in the UK – Spring Common School. There will be two groups of participants, consisting of 3 trainers each. The benefits will be in the dissemination of effective models of work in our country, which will lead to building quality services and better development and social integration of children with special needs.
