Building Up Early Intervention Services for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and Their Families

The project is financed by “Open Society” Foundations, Early Childhood Program, London

The project’s implementation is 18 months, starting January, 2015.

Project goal

Developing early intervention services, emphasizing on supporting families of children with ASD.

Activities

• development of new service – group for parents and children with ASD
• providing Early Intervention services to families of children with special needs between 0 and 3 years
• applying the family – centered approach – home visitations, toy library, games between parents and little children

Results

Increasing the capacity of the family for support of the children and improving their communication and social skills. Aiding the children’s transition and adaptation in daycare and kindergarten.
