Discussion Forum in Sofia

Specialists from Karin Dom attended a discussion forum, in Sofia, in late October. The topic of the forum was “Next step for a respectful life”. It included new approaches to the development of social services for people with intellectual disabilities.
The forum was part of the project BALIZ, a respectful life for people with intellectual disabilities in Bulgaria, supported by the MATRA program of the Nederland’s government.
Representatives of all stakeholders in the process of planning and delivering services, were invited to participate in the discussion. Representatives in attendance included: government and local authorities, service providers, parent organizations, people with disabilities, and NGOs.
