Time for Good Deeds – Karin Dom’s Christmas Campaign in Support of the New Therapy Center

Dear friends,

we will again delight you with Christmas offers and gifts for partners and friends. This year’s campaign involved many of our friends – artists and artists, who provided their works especially for Karin Dom! We will also delight you with many children’s works. For the first time, we organized a national competition for a children’s Christmas card, in which children from all over the country participated.

Six drawings by children from Varna, the village of Topoli, Burgas, Vratsa and Popovo were awarded and selected for Christmas cards. Check them out!

We admit that we were extremely moved by this drawing of the ten-year-old Micho, who was housed in the Family-type accommodation center – Topoli and who attended therapy at Karin Dom.

About the Karin Dom Campaign

Proceeds from the campaign will support the purchase of equipment for the new therapeutic center for children with special needs, which Karin Dom is building in Varna. Our plans are for the construction to be finalized and the activity completely moved next year. Karin Dom aims to create an extremely functional space for the therapy of children with special needs and a modern training center supporting specialists. The building combines a variety of functions: physiotherapy and hydrotherapy, an early intervention center, a Montessori center and children’s demonstration kitchen, a toy library, diagnostic rooms, individual and group therapy, a sensory room, a medical center, training rooms, an administrative area, a courtyard with two children’s playgrounds.

Steli Chakarova – an artist and graphic designer and a person with boundless imagination, who managed to preserve the childishness in himself. She is a friend of Karin Dom and the author of three designer cards that have been provided especially for the campaign this year.

Steli’s cards are: It’s Christmas Time, Where Did Prancer Go?, If Children Had Wings.

Elitsa Karabashlieva
She says, “Watercolor is an element that you cannot suppress, but if you are brave, you will have fun in it.” Elitsa is a member of the Association of Artists – Varna and has already had 29 solo exhibitions. The cards were drawn especially for Karin’s home.

The main character is our beloved Karin – a child with cerebral palsy, after whom Karin’s home is named.

Konstantina Zivova INLY
A well-known TV personality, artist and writer with a mission to develop children’s imagination and emotionality through colors.

Stella Canfield
Stella is the president of the “International Watercolor Society California USA”, teaches watercolor, judges and participates in exhibitions initiated by art organizations in the USA, Europe and Asia.

Her paintings are in private, corporate and museum collections in America, Europe and Asia. Her biography is included in Who’s Who in America? and Who’s Who of Women of America.

Neicho Petrov – Reggie
This card is a special gift for Karin Dom. Reggie is a versatile creative person. He works in the field of music and theater, and since 2020 he has also started painting his own paintings, with over 50 of his works sold in Bulgaria and abroad. His creative autobiography includes numerous concerts, original songs, plays, albums with his participation, original cultural products under his direction and production.

 

Yana Lyubenova
Yana has participated in more than 50 collective exhibitions in our country and started a group of events “Draw your costume”. A special gift for Karin Dom from the young and talented artist. In her soul and creative path, love for the homeland and traditions are the main artistic engine.

Calendars for 2022 “Children Creativity”

Inspired by children’s creativity, we created this calendar with drawings and applications for children with special needs from a Montessori group and for children from a Montessori house.
Get in the mood all year round! The design is by Steli Chakarova based on drawings and applications by the children from Karin Home.

Good Deeds Journal

Volunteering is one of the ways to allocate time for good deeds and an opportunity to actively participate in the change of the community, the environment, the organization, relationships, to be part of the desired change.

This journal will remind you throughout the year that volunteering can be a part of your life, and the time devoted to good deeds is another reason for happiness and satisfaction.
