We are starting the Ambassadors of Goodness Project and a Competition for Youth Volunteer Ideas

We are starting the “Ambassadors of Goodness” project with activities on organizing and leading a competition “Ambassadors of Goodness”, aimed at motivating volunteering and philanthropy among students and youths, their activity and engagement with social causes, and increasing the tolerance and social responsibility of the community.

The competition included wonderful ideas, schools and organizations from Varna and the country, 12 of them were chosen by a committee that included volunteers, parents of children with special needs, youth organizations representatives and representatives of Karin Dom.

Some volunteer teams have already started their projects during the winter holidays, by visiting the children at Karin Dom, bringing them wonderful presents, lots of smiles and good spirits as well as participating in joint activities such as making handmade Christmas cards.

The realization of the volunteer projects will continue until the end of May 2017 and in the spring, there will be interesting initiatives with the projects in Varna, Svishtov and Ruse.

Sylvena Christova said: “The best thing is that there are so many young people who got the wish to know, support and help the children with special needs to feel appreciated. They are part of the society and have their place among us. Karin Dom is giving those youths the chance to be “Ambassadors of Goodness” and to give an example to everybody else because “If you have given, you have not lived in vain.”
